I'd like to go, but i'm unsure? help?

i've never been away from family longer than 1 night. a fairly new friend that i've almost known for a year and am quite close to and know everything about him has invited me to his house for 5 days in another part of the country for his birthday. we have the same hobbies ect and he's really nice, funny and down to earth. i trust him completely. i'd really like to go, and i'm allowed to go (mine and his parents are fine with it) but i'm worried i'd get home sick? what should i do? should i go? thanks!
