Im getting a tattoo on my arm, should i wax or shave?

they shave the area when you get the tat and waxing before you get it will intensify the pain so getting it so dont just let then take care of it and the tat will make the hair there lass thick because of the ink in the follicle my moms hair even stopped growing where she got hers same with mine
