Help, what does this mean?

I think this is one of those ones where everyone has a different interpretation and that's part if what makes it so beautiful. However I see it as it can't all be picture perfect and beautiful like a piece of art. This is the real world and its ugly and raw. The relationship is getting ugly but that's life and they can't just pretend it's all right but instead find a way to address it and find a solution.
